Mr. Van Buren holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and a Masters degree in Landscape Design and Planning. He has 25 years experience in sales, most recently as Senior Sales Manager for a Baltimore-based regional wine distribution company.

In addition to a lifelong concern for the environment, he brings his business leadership and customer relation skills to the company to ensure full customer satisfaction through the reliability, integrity and excellent value we deliver. He leads the company with his entrepreneurial spirit and vision.

Tory Brueck
Director of Building Performance Contracting, BPI Building Envelope Professional

Mr. Brueck recently joined TerraLogos to help strengthen, develop and manage our growing Sustainable Contractors Network.  He has over twenty years of business experience in strategic planning, strategy development, sales & marketing, network development and operations, and five years of direct construction contracting and building experience. 

Tory spent most of his business career in the health insurance and managed care industries and spent a great deal of that time working with highly performing managed provider networks.  We are pleased to have him on our staff and are excited about his knowledge of networks and construction.

Rebecca Arnold
Building Analyst

Ms. Arnold is a housing professional with experience in both construction and home inspection.  She has managed construction as a Program Manager and Construction Manager for Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity in Baltimore City. In addition, Rebecca has field experience in Healthy Housing Inspections, focusing particularly on identifying home safety hazards and asthma triggers. 

She is a BPI Building Analyst Professional, LEED Accredited Professional certified by the US Green Building Council and a Healthy Housing Specialist certified by the National Environmental Health Association. Rebecca has a passion for making buildings the best they can be for their residents and our environment.

Justin Iovenitti
Building Analyst

Mr. Iovenitti joined TerraLogos after more than seven years in the architecture field. A graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture, Justin’s professional expertise focused on all phases of institutional design and construction. His experiences in commercial building strategies have ranged from interior retrofits up through new construction.

Justin is a registered architect in Maryland with an NCARB Certificate. He is also a LEED Green Associate and BPI Building Analyst Professional. He combines diverse skills with a lifelong passion for conserving natural resources.

Susan Van Buren
Director of Administration & Finance

Ms. Van Buren has practiced landscape architecture and planning in private-, public-, and non-profit sectors in Connecticut and Maryland. Projects under her supervision have ranged from large-scale conservation master plans and creative land development to custom private residences. Public sector consulting work has included streetscape studies, downtown revitalization plans, campus master planning and municipal facilities studies.

She developed the green building framework for the new education building for the Accokeek Foundation, and later served on the Maryland Green Building Council while at the MD Department of Planning. In addition to her knowledge of sustainable development, she brings her organizational skills to manage the administrative needs of the company.

Frank Lee
Vice President
Director of Building Science

Frank Lee is a Maryland registered architect with LEED AP, BPI and HERS certifications. In addition, he is a technology educator with practical knowledge of green architecture practices, passive solar design and the full range of home improvement trades.

During his 35 years of work in design and construction, Frank was a founding partner with Lee/Petralito Architects, pc and completed many design/build projects.

As an educator with Advanced Professional Teacher Certification in Vocational Arts, Engineering and Technology Education, he has taught and lectured extensively, including conducting hands-on training for a variety of construction trades and technologies. In addition to directing the home audit program and training energy auditors, he directs the research and development of energy efficient practices and products.
